Amenities Update – June 5, 2020

As you are aware a decision was made not to open the community pool in the Virginia Forward Phase One plan that began on Friday, May 29, 2020 Loudoun County and began the 1st stage of reopening. With Phase Two expected to begin in Loudoun County on June 12 we wanted to provide a brief update on the situation as we know it.

Phase Two guidelines specify, public and community pools/pool houses may allow lap lane swimming only as long as all persons maintain a 10-foot distance. Furniture on the pool deck must also maintain a 10-foot distance between non-family member groups and be cleaned and sanitized after each use. Due to these limitations, the possible need for additional unbudgeted staff, and trained/certified lifeguards not being available until at least July, it is not feasible to open the Carisbrooke community pool immediately upon the start of Phase Two. The Board will assess all updates and information available including any additional expenses that the Association may incur, to hire additional cleaning staff, at the June 16th board meeting. Again, the goal is to evaluate the safest and most responsible way to implement opening the community pool.

The community tennis courts are again open for use, but only in accordance with Loudoun guidelines. Not more than 4 people on a court at any one time. Important reminders: You will be entering and using the tennis courts at your own risk. AND tennis courts are never to be used as a pet or children’s playground.

All other community amenities, including clubhouse rentals, will continue to remain closed as they are not included in current reopening phases.

We will strive to keep you updated as new information becomes available.

We appreciate your patience during this unprecedented time. Phase Two guidelines for specific sectors can be found here. Phase One guidelines sectors are available here. Visit virginia.gov/coronavirus/forwardvirginia for more information and answers to frequently asked questions.

Community Update – June 2, 2020

With the move into phase one of the Virginia reopen plan we will be opening up the tennis courts again for use in accordance with Loudoun guidelines. Not more than 4 people on a court at any one time. Please do remember that the tennis courts are only to be used for tennis and not as a dog or children’s play area.

Playgrounds and basketball courts will continue to remain closed as they are not included in phase one reopening. The pool will continue to remain closed at least through phase one and we are working on a separate mailing to specifically address logistics around the pool.
